Every lake, river and stream in Oregon is part of a larger system. Water flows from ridgetop to riverbed, nourishing our forests, rangelands, hills and valleys – including Oregon's irreplaceable wildlife habitat.
OWEB grants help Oregonians restore and improve this habitat. For example, between 1999 and 2010, we’ve worked together to improve fish access on over 3,500 miles of streams and rivers. Over a half million acres have been protected or improved to benefit wildlife with the help of OWEB grants.
All of these projects begin when local landowners and citizens get together, find common goals and work with OWEB and other groups for funding and support.
