Healthy watersheds provide clean water. Habitat for people, fish and wildlife. A healthy environment and a better economy.
In Oregon, we're known for doing things differently – so we have a unique way of taking care of watersheds, too. Oregon's approach is led by citizen volunteers and local groups. Every year, Oregonians work together on hundreds of projects to protect our watersheds.
OWEB supports this work by providing grants, using a small portion of lottery dollars. These grants have supported over 5,200 projects, restored thousands of miles of streams and protected or improved more than a half million acres of habitat.
