Oregon‘s approach to watershed health is different. It focuses on local partnerships and voluntary actions, and builds on what Oregonians are already doing that is good for water, people and wildlife.
Rather than tell people what they can't do, OWEB encourages Oregonians to explore what they can do to care for our watersheds. Citizens, property owners, Watershed Councils and others set goals and develop projects.
OWEB provides funding, using Lottery dollars, to the projects that provide the most value. It's a collaborative, statewide, voluntary approach – led by Oregonians.
